We’ve shut down the polls on our race between Conga-Rats and Feeding the Trolls, and it was close. REALLY close. Like 51% to 49% close. With over 2,500 votes cast, the ultimate winner was:
Congrats to Conga-Rats!
In a race this close, though, it’s clear to us that both of these guys are well-loved by the community. So we’ve decided to include them both in the game! (Don’t worry, this won’t affect the number of other cards we’re going to have you vote on.)

Today we’re going to introduce another new character to the K.I.C.K. 9000’s dungeon. But this time, instead of choosing between two different cards, we’re going to have you choose between two different sketches of the same Kickstarter-themed character.
Many of you know the thrill of chasing after this guy in Kickstarter campaigns, but once he’s in the dungeon, you’ll be running away from him instead!
We’ll be announcing the results on Monday, so let us know what you think!
Foiled Again!

It’s pretty obvious that this expansion is named after the Curses that are being added to each of the dungeons. And that’s true, but what you don’t know yet is that the name actually has a bit more significance than that.
Another major addition to the game, as you know, is the Artifacts. We wanted these cards to be awesome, not just in terms of their sheer power, but also awesome in appearance. Alex Diochon’s amazing art gets us most of the way there, but we wanted these to be really special.
So… any guesses why we called it Curses! FOILed Again?
Yep, we’re going to print the artifact cards with a sweet foil finish! Check it out:

Rats vs. Trolls: A Close Race
Meanwhile, the poll continues between our two cards competing for a spot in the K.I.C.K. 9000’s Boss Deck: Feeding the Trolls and Conga-Rats. It’s a really close race… too close to call at this point! We’re going to be closing the polls and reporting the results tomorrow, so VOTE NOW!

What a start to the campaign!
To those of you who backed our first campaign, thank you so much for coming back to support us again. And to those of you who are new to 5-Minute Dungeon, thanks for your support too, and welcome to the community!
Now we’re excited to start sharing some cool new stuff with you. So without further ado, let’s talk about…
Booster Boss Cards!
One of the main things added by the Curses! Foiled Again! expansion is Boss Cards. Each of the five bosses has 5 of these cards that get shuffled into their dungeon to make it both more challenging and unique.
But what about the 2 bosses added by the Kickstarter booster, namely, the K.I.C.K. 9000 and the Dungeon Master: Final Form? They need Boss Cards too, right?
You bet they do! The K.I.C.K. 9000 is going to get his own set of Boss Cards, like all the other bosses. What about the Dungeon Master: Final Form? Well, he’s special. If you look closely at his art, you’ll see that he’s a terrifying combination of all of the other bosses:
So instead of having his own set of Boss Cards, he uses one random Boss Card from each of the other bosses. Combine that with the sheer number of cards in his dungeon, and the number of symbols needed to defeat him, and you’ve got the ultimate 5-Minute Dungeon challenge!
The First Poll!
If you were part of our first campaign, you’ll remember that we involved the community in developing the K.I.C.K. 9000... which is fitting, because he’s Kickstarter-exclusive! We’re going to continue the tradition by sharing early versions of some of his Boss Cards and getting your input on them. Like the boss himself, many of his cards are going to be Kickstarter-themed.
